Clutch Masters utilizes a sprung or unsprung (rigid) discs with their clutch kits. For street use a sprung center hub is recommended. The sprung hub has small springs that ease the engagement of the clutch, which produces a smoother engagement. The unsprung disc can be used more aggressively but is rougher on engagement, and is typically recommended for track racing.

FX100 - Stage 1
The FX100 kit uses the performance pressure plate paired with a custom heavy-duty organic with steel backing disc. This clutch is designed for heavy-duty street use. It is specifically engineered for drivers with mildly-modified vehicles looking for extended wear and additional clamping force in their clutch. With slightly increased pedal pressure, this clutch offers smooth engagement, extended life, and stock clutch feel for a smooth operation.

FX200 - Stage 2
The FX200 kit uses the performance pressure plate and a Kevlar with steel backing friction disc. This kit is designed for daily driving and weekend racing. With similar torque capacity as the FX100, this kit offer a longer life with Kevlar material. Kevlar material is non-abrasive and doesn't score the mating surfaces. It offers only slightly increased pedal pressure, much longer life than stock, and stock clutch feel during engagement for the smoothest operation of any stage Clutch Masters has to offer. They recommend at least 500 miles to properly break in the clutch.

FX250 - Stage 2.5
The FX250 kit utilizes the performance pressure plate and a hybrid combination of organic friction lining with heavy-duty steel backing on one side and Clutch Masters New Formula Button on the other. This kit is perfect for occasional racers and/or spirited drivers who like to push their vehicle's limits on an occasional basis. The FX250 kit offers a better holding capacity than the FX200 without compromising daily drivability.

FX300 - Stage 3
The FX300 kit uses the performance pressure plate with a segmented Kevlar with steel backing disc. This kit is engineered for enthusiasts with normally aspirated cars equipped with engine block upgrades, or mildly boosted cars with upgraded turbochargers. The FX300 offers only slightly increased pedal pressure, long life disc and good engagement. The FX300 kit is not recommended for track use. Clutch Masters recommends at least 500 miles to properly break in the clutch.

FX350 - Stage 3.5
The FX350 System offers the performance pressure plate with Clutch Masters New Formula Button disc. This kit is perfect for occasional racers and/or spirited drivers who like to push their vehicle's limits on an occasional basis. The FX350 offers a perfect balance between durability and drivability offering higher holding capacity without compromising smooth engagement.

FX400 - Stage 4
The FX400 kit uses the performance pressure plate with a sprung ceramic disc. Offered in 4 (more aggressive) or 6 (less aggressive) paddle configuration, this kit is the ultimate extreme duty racing clutch kit. The sprung hub design allows for some dampening and is much more street friendly that rigid or solid hubs. This disc was engineering for best holding capacity, and quick heat dissipation. The ceramic paddles create a harsh engagement and clutch chatter in first and reverse gear that may not be ideal for street-driven applications.
